Wednesday 10 September 2014

Sukha ra shanti jeewan maa, othmaa haaso chaawos
Durga Maataa ko aasirwadle sochejhai pugdai jaawos
Pukaardai mannle Nawa Durgalai gardai kamanaa
Yo dashain ko sabai sabai lai cha Suvakamana’
This is the song written by lyricist Sahadev Koirala which popular Singer Anju Panta refused to sing. “Religion is the opium of the people” is one of the most frequently paraphrased statements of German economist Karl Marx. Same happens to Anju on Wednesday.

The song was based on Nepali biggest festival Dashain. After divorce with husband, Anju Panta has changed her religion from Hindu to Christian. ‘The song was based on ‘Hindu’, so I could not sing’, Anju says to Pahilo Post.
‘I had not refuse the song but this type of words hampers in my life’, Anju said to medias.  ‘I believe in religion because my life was saved due to the religion’, Anju added. She requested her fans for not to do abusive behavior with her due to the small reason.
Many people are giving negative comments on her decision. Anju said that she decided to save her life by not singing the Hindu song as per the rules of her religion. But this decision may not save her Hindu fans.
What do you say guys about her decision
